This was pretty early on at least, as others preferred the spot near the elevator where you spawned. TWI must've noticed people spending a lot of time there and with most of the zeds coming in through whichever door opened to the part of the room people were in, it was pretty easy to hold out. That type of situation was okay in the last game for some time.įor example, in the old biotics lab map there's a large room in the middle level with two entrances (double sliding doors) that was a pretty decent camping spot. Just about the barn, it probably would be too easy if all the zeds had to come from the stairs, like you said. I understand that the removal of these spawn locations may make the game easier but it does not fit the flow of the game and other alternatives must be achieved.įarm House is just one example people will have other complaints I would like people to point out spawn locations that break illusion and are problematic to the flow of gameplay. The basic holdout I would like to see with farmhouse is Zeds come from the field to siege the house, Heavey hitters sharpshooter/demo on the balcony and people that can hold enterances downstairs (everyother perk) no spawns behind people that are inside the house. It might just be me but not a single thing should spawn inside the map on Farm House the fact that aggressive spawning systems have been put in place to make it more difficult breaks the overall feeling and flow of gameplay. Sirens drop from the loft in the barn with no feasbile way to climb up, and the idea that the house got overrun lets run to the barn quick and barricade the doors is ruined when you run in a find oh a fleshpound has been chilling in here waiting for you. At the point things start to spwan on top of you the entire concept and feeling of the map goes out the window and it becomes as chaotic as the others. Farm House becomes something entirely different once you start playing, the house has countless vent spawns, things spawn on top of, and on the balcony. I play alot of maps and I take the time to turn of the hud and look at maps design and atmosphere alot of maps have great concepts that become broken once certain systems are introduced.įarm House is a great map the overall concept and feeling sorta come across as the last safe heaven something where you have locked yourselves in for the end of the world. This will be a basic thread about how I feel the Zed spawn system affects gameplay I understand it not at its best but I also think the core problem of it is being ignored. ![]()
